Le designer s’est inspiré de la fondation invisible d’une plante, essentielle à sa nutrition et sa stabilité.

Ziggy Chen transpose cette idée en créant le terme GNARTRICATE, une fusion de « Gnarled Branches » (branches noueuses) et « Intricate » (intriqué). Ces branches perturbatrices, autrefois cachées, deviennent visibles, croissant de manière désordonnée.

GNARTRICATE explore l’équilibre entre beauté et décadence, chaos et rigueur, élégance et confort. Les couleurs et matériaux s’inspirent des architectures traditionnelles et des jeux de lumière et d’ombres dans les jardins. Les nuances de violet, vert et gris, délavées par le temps, rappellent les murs des jardins où s’accrochent les branches robustes.

Les textures et motifs des tissus incarnent une douceur agréable, avec des formes construites ou agressives. Chaque vêtement offre une expérience naturelle et sinueuse, où le corps est caressé par des tissus fluides suivant chaque mouvement.

GNARTRICATE explores the balance between beauty and decadence, chaos and rigor, elegance and comfort. The colors and materials draw inspiration from traditional architectures and the interplay of light and shadows in gardens. The shades of purple, green, and gray, weathered by time, evoke the garden walls where robust branches cling.

The textures and patterns of the fabrics embody a pleasant softness, with constructed or aggressive forms. Each garment offers a natural and sinuous experience, where the body is caressed by fluid fabrics that follow every movement.
